The DL: Located in Soho of New York City, the Museum of Ice cream is an interactive museum with themed rooms and experiences. Think Color Factory but less interactive, more for taking photos, and all things ice cream themed.
My Honest “Scoop” Below:
The Tickets/Entrance:
- The ticket prices themselves are a bit pricey for what you are getting ($45pp).
- Yes it is unique and that is what you are paying for just know that going into it. If you are an influencer than the price of the ticket is worth the amount of content you can create out of it
- The process of scanning tickets, getting into the museum was a bit unorganized and we ended up just waiting in line for awhile while staff was all over the place, you have timed entry times but it didn’t seem to really matter
The Museum of Ice Cream:
- I would recommend for a girls day or if you have kids, leave the boys at home for this one.
- Everything is pink which I loved and the “interactive” piece of each room is picture opportunities.
- You only get to taste ice cream twice – the first room and the last. And for COVID precautions you can only eat the ice cream outside right now.
- Masks are required and if you take them off for any pictures you will be escorted
- For the most part it is self guided
- They played great early 2000s hip hop music through out the museum
- The sprinkle pit is flat – you cannot jump into the sprinkles pits, you can walk around the room or stand on circles in the pit.
Favorite Rooms to Check Out at the Museum of Ice Cream:
- The Pink Subway Room
- All the wallpaper in each room is super cute and ice cream themed
- The sprinkle room was still one of my favorite rooms
