The DL: Wynwood is a vibrant neighborhood near/within Downtown Miami that takes art district to the next level. All the buildings have murals or some type of graffiti on them, even the more corporate buildings like banks and food chains. The overall vibe is really cool, think funky art meets hip and chic culture. The crowd is young and there are so many good places to eat and drink all within walking distance. This neighborhood has become more and more popular every year and you can tell by the active development. You can spend a few days or an afternoon here, but make sure to come hungry!
What to do:
Wynwood Walls – The most popular attraction for the Wynwood Art District would be the Walls. Currently it is $10 per person to tour and will take you about 30-45 minutes. Most of the gallery is outdoors so if weather is a factor I would save for a sunny day. There are 2 indoor art exhibits and then 20+ outdoor walls that showcases street art from artists around the world.
Wynwood Marketplace – open air venue with drinks, shops, art, food and home to local events
Shop – lots of local and eclectic finds, if looking for high end brands head 10 minutes north to the Miami Design District and you will find every luxury brand you can imagine.
Murals – just walk around the Wynwood area and see all the building murals, its free and great photo opportunities.

- Le Chick – we went here for happy hour, drinks were $7 (get the frose) and some of their signature dishes are half off. Great outdoor seating options, make a resy to be safe.

*Many of the restaurants have awesome bars and lounges as well
Where to park:
There is plenty of street parking but you will have to use the pay by phone app at 3.25 an hour. You can extend parking via your phone which we did a few times when we weren’t sure about plans. We parked closest to our last destination and everything was within a few blocks. There are parking garages but it seemed they were the same pricing. If you don’t have a car everything is in walking distance once the uber drops you off.

3 years agoHello! I was wondering where the photo in front of the flower was taken. Who is the artist for the installation? Thank you.
