An easy trip by train from the City its a great option for summer or fall. Plan for a slower paced weekend. Here’s a weekend guide to help you make the most of your visit:
Friday Evening in Hudson New York:
- Arrival and Check-in: If you don’t have a car plan to stay in the main town for example The Maker Hotel. We ended up driving instead of taking the train and stayed at a nearby airbnb.
- Dinner: Start your weekend with a delicious meal at one of Hudson’s renowned restaurants. Consider places like Feast and Floret, BackBar, or Red Dot for a memorable dining experience.
- Explore Warren Street: After dinner, take a leisurely stroll down Warren Street, the city’s main thoroughfare, lined with art galleries, boutiques, and antique shops. You’ll find plenty of opportunities for window shopping and exploring the local arts scene.
- Night cap at Bar Bene (check hours they close early)
Saturday in Hudson New York:
- Breakfast: Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at a local cafe. Le Gamin Country is a popular choice for French-inspired breakfast options or grab some coffee at Wylde.
- Hudson Farmers’ Market: If you’re visiting on a Saturday, don’t miss the Hudson Farmers’ Market, located at 6th and Columbia Streets. It’s a great place to sample local produce, artisanal goods, and more. If not, check out the Olde Hudson Grocery story for cute + local goods.

- Dinner and Entertainment: Enjoy dinner at a different restaurant for a change of pace. I recommend WM Farmer and Sons. Swoon Kitchenbar often has live music or other entertainment in the evening, so check their schedules for events.
- Post Dinner Drinks at one of the hotel bars or Lawrence Park
Sunday in Hudson New York:
- Brunch: Before leaving Hudson, have a leisurely brunch at one of the city’s brunch spots, such as Moto Coffee/Machine or Bonfiglio & Bread.
- Antique Shopping: Hudson is famous for its antique shops. Spend your morning browsing through the various stores along Warren Street to find unique treasures and collectibles, down by the water check out the Antique Warehouse.
